FRANCO ARMCHAIR

Poltrona Franco is the most recent design developed by architect and artist Blacio Junior, director of Galeria 733, known for his freehand drawings and use of metal in sculptures such as “Mergulhador” (Diver) and “Girafas” (Giraffes), used in the studio's projects.

Inspired by his youngest son, Francisco, the chair expresses, through its name and the gesture of sitting, the spontaneity and freedom of childhood movements. This emotional reference translates into an aesthetically balanced design: the solid concrete base contrasts with the light-looking seat and backrest.

At once a piece of furniture and a sculpture, it is in the initial stages of prototyping and will be presented at the Galeria 733 Open Air 2026 event, as an object for contemplation and use.
